Little Monkeys Home Daycare: February 2014

Thank you for taking the time to check out my home. I call it Little Monkeysss Homecare, because we all know children are like little monkeys,at least the little ones I look after are. My name is Renee, I am a 26 year old mommy and soon to be wife to a wonderful man named Josh, my fiancé.

We have a 2 year old son named Abel Michael, he was born on December 24th 2011. As you can imagine he became my reason for breathing, my motivation for everything I was doing and want to do in the future. So after I had Abel I started working from home in the evening , all night long until 4 am at a call centre sales job. Well after about a year it became very clear that this wasn't going to be the best option with an active toddler in the daytime. I quit, I am horrified that I actually quit a job, but I needed to be with my son, I thought I was missing too much and it made it harder and harder each shift.

So I started thinking, and thinking some more as to what I could do. Finally it hit me , babysitting or home care for children, if most families are like ourselves and realistic the cost of daycare is expensive. I couldn't afford to place Abel in a daycare, so I googled and started researching. A few months went by and I was up at the park with my fiancé and soon to mother in law discussing opening a home daycare out of of course our home. Well it did sound crazy but it was like it was meant to be.

This same day up at the park we met who would very soon become my first client for care. It was great. Here we are 10 months later and I have been caring for Alex since, June of 2013. It's great. I want more out of this, I want the parents to be sure and trust me with their children, yes I am a mom but if they are like me they will need more.

So I started searching again and happened upon so home daycare agencies and programs and am in the process of getting all the paperwork signed to become a registered home daycare.

I provide receipts, and have a background check and child abuse check done for everyone in my family, even though they may have no contact it is very important that parents feel and know their children are safe in my home.

I provide lunch, snacks and drinks. Lots of activities and most of all we have a lot of smiles here along with giggles. The kids have proven to be a hard core workout and a huge learning curve, as a parent and caregiver.

I cannot wait to grow my home care, eventually go to school for my early childhood education and who knows maybe open a big daycare out of my home one day. My son has shown me I want everything I set my mind to, and that kids are our future and if I get to play a part in helping them learn I can't wait!!!
