Quiet time boxes for my Little Monkeys
So in hopes of everyone getting along with the rain we have been having, I have decided on making our very own quiet time boxes for each child.
In each box are things age appropriate for my kids. Games, instruments, markers, Crayons, leds, journals for those moments when my older kid would like to write how he is feeling or just doodle, colouring books, feathers, a funky flashlight, a face cloth that you need to dissolve in water to make it! So cool! Pipe cleaners, bubbles, Styrofoam balls, activity books. A craft that's already together for the most part. Glue, stickers, Googly eyes etc....
The intention is for when they need a little alone time they will have their own box to choose something to do on their own.
I hope to add or switch things up as I can afford and need to so it doesn't bore them to quickly.
If anyone had any inventive cool ideas for these things I would love to know them!

Books I have been reading....
The first book I am currently reading is by far the funniest I have ever read. Also she is a blogger I follow all the time. It is called "I Heart My Little AHoles" by Karen Alpert (also known as Baby Sideburns). Check her out she is hilarious. It is a great little read for all moms and care providers alike.
The next book I am going to mention is Meditation for moms, I used to do alot of yoga but yes I CANNOT and I mean CANNOT find the time, I think and dream about it all the time. So a friend of mine suggested Meditation, It is 10 minutes a day and if you can find it, great it helps. Even just using the simple breathing exercises I am finding are helping me tons. It keeps you in check, now I have googled and looked everything up online but in the end I love a book. So check it out, it is calming relaxing and might give you a reason you wont end up quitting you day job.
E-MEALS, E-MEALS, E-MEALS....
Yes it is a you need to pay meal planner but it is uber fantastic! It helps with my crazy hectic life. As a home daycare provider I need healthy alternatives, I need kid friendly food & I also need easyyyyyyyyyy!
It gives you 2 weeks of meal plans, the shopping list and whats really cool if you pick certain stores for you specific plan you can get close to price of what it will be for that 2 weeks of meals. So for example if you pick Costco Family Meal plan, it will give you everything that you can buy at costco for your meal plan prices. Also did I mention sooooo easy!!!!!! I have time again it is amazing, I can write up a new Menu plan for my kiddies and family in 10 minutes for the next 2 weeks instead of hours! They get new every few weeks now and it is not the same ol same ol boring lunches and suppers. The great thing is if you dont want to make one of the meals you can forget it. You can change your plans to.
I love that when Easter rolled around they sent me free Easter menus, Mothers day , Free Menus.
They send free menus for special occasion or tips its great and so worth the money if you love to cook and dont have time to mess around with all the fuss of whats on sale where when how to cook and is this healthy, google this google that etc.
So head on over to emeals.com check it out with a free account. Make sure you look on groupon before you buy they usually have a meal plan with extras for emails every few months! I got mine plus a lunch one!
Here is some screen shots of my weeks this week!
Enjoy everyone, It will help alot even if it is for your daycare or your family :)
